Drive-by demagoguery. A quick search of 'child labor' on the heritage site would at least get you the other side of the argument, which Maddow didn't even bother to bring up.

"Reality: As the wealth of a country increases, so do labor standards . Labor standards are significantly affected by a country's level of economic development. For example, in many developing countries, children must work so that their families can have the food they need to survive. Research on developing nations has shown that there is a lower incidence of child labor in countries with higher per-capita incomes. A Brookings Institution study found that, in countries with a per-capita income of $500 or less, 30 percent to 60 percent of children between the ages of 10 and 14 work, whereas in countries with a per-capita income within the $500 to $1,000 range, only 10 percent to 30 percent of children in that age bracket work."

You want me to get all excited because The Heritage Foundation site posted a study? A study showing in fact there is currently child exploitation labor from kids between the ages of 10 and 14? WOOHOO!!

You're right... I think I will bring this up to Maddow in case she does a follow-up. It should absolutely have been in her report.

"...children must work so that their families can have the food they need to survive..."

How about incorporating the wages you would be giving to the children and incorporating them into the wages of the parents. DUH!!

Oh, but that violates the whole principle of why they have their fuckin factory in another country in the first fuckin place, huh... you child labor endorsing, pro-slavery freak!!

Cool...I take it you have her celly. Shoot her a text and tell her that J said she needed a new hairdo.

That would drive productivity down. Productivity is why businesses exist, not to accommodate your vision of social justice. Lets see if you try and do that to a third world country with nothing going for it other than the fact that a multinational decided to locate there. The businesses will leave and set up shop elsewhere. All of that self-congratulatory bullshit of you labeling me a "child labor endorsing, pro-slavery freak" means nothing to people whose only way to earn a living is the fact that a factory is located there.

And what was the purpose of 18th century agrarian American families having a bunch of children? Do you think it was because they lovved kids so fucking much? Both yours and my ancestors somewhere descended from somebody who needed some work done, period. You obviously don't get that most of the planet is still agrarian and still breeds for specific purposes and a big one is productivity.

Hee hee hee.

Slavery and child exploitation are ok... because that's what kids should be bred for.

Keep going Mr. "98%"RightAllTheTime

And btw, I didn't say

"that's what kids should be bred for"

I said that's the way it IS, whether you or agree with it or not.
